WELCOME

Welcome to Climate Reality's Education Resource pages!

At The Climate Reality Project we have over 6 years of experience in supporting people from all walks of life to help their local communities and networks understand climate change.

Many of the wonderful people in our networks are teachers, and they come back to us and ask - how do we communicate climate change to our students?

This website has been designed to help them. And all teachers who want to help their students contribute to a better future.
These resource materials use an inquiry based method to help teachers and students in primary and secondary schools explore some of the concepts of a changing climate. They provide strategies to learn how your school can be part of the global solution to climate change.

Inquiry based learning

These educational resources are an effort to provide practical support to teachers and students dealing with opportunities that can improve their journey towards sustainability.

Each resource contains a unit of work with a variety of student activities selected as vehicles to help students:
  • Investigate what climate change is
  • Assess and measure the current sustainability situation at the school
  • Investigate concepts and ideas relating to climate change, climate adaptation and sustainability
  • Investigate what could change in the school and why
  • Generate ideas and explore options for making a sustainability change
  • Select ideas and take action
  • Reflect and evaluate the success of the action for improving sustainability, adapting to climate change and reducing greenhouse gases at the school.
